This depends on what you want to do, and the intentions and goals you set.
Amazon or Ebay – Which is Better?
Both Amazon and Ebay are excellent selling platforms. No one would argue the point that they are the two best. Both have customer service departments that are second to none. Both platforms will generate more traffic for you than some people would generate on their own website in a year. With both Amazon and Ebay, you will always find what you are looking for. Try doing this in a shopping mall.
The difference between the two lies in the people who buy from them. People who want to get merchandise at a low price tend to shop Ebay. Ebay is famous for its good deals. Some people like the competitive spirit that Ebay has to offer. If someone really wants a particular item of merchandise, Ebay will set the stage for a bidding war.
With Amazon, people simply go there to buy. They are not necessarily looking for good deals, at least, not as much as they are with Ebay. People want, they go to Amazon, and finally they buy.
As a seller, I recommend that you use both platforms. The key to Ebay is having the products to sell. It has been said many times, “You make money on Ebay when you buy, not when you sell.”
Ebay is the perfect place for getting spending money from items in your home that you would ordinarily donate to someone like Kings Ranch and Hannah Home. A person could also make a very comfortable living selling on Ebay. However, this is a challenge.
If you want to build a serious ecommerce business, and make some real money, Amazon is the way to go. There has been a lot written about Amazon’s famous affiliate program. But this is not where the real money is on Amazon. The real money is in selling. If you know how to do it, you can build a business selling on Amazon that could generate you over $100,000 per month. The same thing could be done on Ebay, but it is much more difficult.
So, my friend, if you want to make some serious money, and build a business that will generate sustainable income, Amazon is definitely the better choice. If you want to generate enough money to make a living, go with Ebay. I don’t know about you, but I am an entrepreneur. I am not into this just to make a living. I want a lot more. This is my intention.
