I could tell you how to get backlinks to your website, and just give you a lot of technical “how to” information. If you run a Google search on how to get backinks, you’ll find out right away that just about every one, and his brother, will tell you how to find backlinks. This topic has been done to death. Therefore, I am not going to tell you what you need to do to get backlinks. Instead, I have something to show you. After you see what I have here, you will know what to do to get backlinks. Also, I am not implying that you need to purchase backlinks, so put your credit card away. You won’t need it.
Look at the following chart. If you understand it, and do what it suggests, you will come a huge step closer to dominating the search engines.
So, what does all of this mean? I’ll tell you exactly. You have a website. The green box in the middle, which is your website, in and of itself, is of no use to you. Naturally, you want to be concerned with posting quality content on your website, and monetizing it. Other than that, you don’t need to be that concerned about it. What you do need to concern yourself with are the blue circles surrounding your website. They represent the places where backlinks come from. The arrows represent the actual backlinks. And where are these backlinks going?
You Guessed It My Friend. These Backlinks Are Going To Your Website.
And what is the result of quality backlinks?
The three blue circles on the top represent the backlinks you get from creating free websites in places like Squidoo, Weebly and Google Blogger. I told you about this when I suggested that you get away from your website. It’s free, it’s easy, and come to think about it, it’s also fun. Best of all, it gets you backlinks, and a lot of them.
On the bottom of the chart, these three blue circles signify all of the places on the internet where you can submit comments. Now, I know what you are probably thinking. You are probably saying something like, “You mean I have to comment in all these places?” Yes you do. But look at the bright side. When you comment on other blogs, or forums, I am assuming that you read the content. Look at it this way. By reading the blog post, and the other comments, you are learning something new, that you can use to build your business on. In internet marketing, you need to learn as much as you can. This is the place to do it. If you have questions, this is the place to get answers. Bloggers and forums are great about answering questions. But what’s the best part.
You Guessed It Again My Friend. You Get Backlinks.
And what do backlinks get you?
Now, I’m sure you know what Social Media is. These are sites, such as, FaceBook, Twitter and LinkedIn. For a complete and comprehensive list of the social media sites, you need to click here. There are a lot of them. If possible, get your website link on every one of them.
Article marketing is not as effective as it once was, but it still gets you backlinks. Bookmarking is better, because it is much less time consuming. All you do is submit your link to a bookmarking web site, and then go on the the next one. If you want one of the best lists of bookmarking websites on the web, click here. Once again, there are a lot of them. Hit every one of them if you can.
OK, that’s it! I don’t have to tell you what to do. I think you know what you need to do.
If you are not on page 1 in a Google search in three months, you have no excuses.
Remember, in a previous post, Cal Motta said that you should blog every day. It’s like having that first cup of coffee, or brushing your teeth. You have to do it every day. Now, you can add a few things to the list. If you understand this article, and know what to do, then I don’t have to tell you what to add to your list.
A blogger and internet marketer who can’t get on page 1 of Google after reading this article is just plain lazy. I hope you are not one of them.
I want to see you on page 1 of Google by Christmas.
